Born in Jersey City NJ, Dave was introduced to fishing at a young age by his father. His Dad took him and his brother fishing all the time. Dave's father loved to fish and past that passion down to them. As Dave got older he and his Dad would fish once a week in Newton NJ at his favorite spot Cranberry Lake.. This is where Dave would learn to use different types of techniques... Power fishing and finese fishing. Dave would read every magazine about fishing, watch fishing shows and buy anything that had to do with expanding his knowledge of bass fishing.
In 2004 Dave started his own bait company for soft hand poured plastics. This is where he developed knowledge on the promotional and marketing side of the buisness. He developed a pro staff from local fisherman from various websites, this is where Dave's friendly personality would pay off and he would network on many NJ and other regional websites promoting his products.
In 2006 Dave's competitive side continued to grow, even when fishing with his dad or friends he would fish hard and try to out fish them. While networking on websites for his bait company, he found out about open buddy style tournaments up north and south NJ. His love for being competitive would soon make him stop his bait company and get out and fish the tournament trails..
In 2009 Dave couldn't find a club close enough to join, so he started to run and organize his own open buddy tournaments. This was a great way for guys to get together to fish and compete. The Bite N Bassmaster Challenge was born. In 2011 Dave made the club official serving as the club president.
