BNBA 2nd place Open Buddy 10/26/13 Carasaljo

 10/26/13 was a great t.. Jay pre fished a few weeks ago and found a good spot he caught 4 bass in 20 minutes! Our plan? To get there fast !! Thats exactly what we did.. The BNBA Classic champ Jay started fast with 2 keeprs right off the bat, we hit the spot from a different angle and WHAM!! I catch a solid 2.9 chunk.. Jay and I pound the spot drop shot, spinnerbait, jerkbait.. tube.. It shut down... Only one short i caught.. We decide to move making our way around the lake jay nails 2 more good keepers off of cover than I get a short.. jay WHAM another solid keepr.. we have our Limit.. We weigh our fish to see which one too cull I said to Jay really?? CULL? The Bite is super tough we aren't culling this was around 11 am... JVD proves me wrong and WHAM! Culling a keeper brings us up a few ounces we needed it... We ended in 2nd last few bass came off of cover... Winners had a HUGE bag they brought in 3 bass at 13lbs a 5.4 lunker.. Great to meet everyone, 5alive guys showed up and they took 3rd with 8.2lbs great guys too... We worked hard for 2nd place.. Get The Bite 'n Bassmaster

2013 BNBA Classic Shanadoah 9/28/13

Am I upset I lost the BNBA Classic??? You bet,,, but we fished hard had a good spot that had the potential for big bass!! We had good bites in the 2lb and 4lb range at the last tourny there so it was a good call and I don't regret our decisions...I don't think the fish moved too far from there.. I'm happy for Jay and Dave they been on fire the last few ts and they are skilled anglers and great guys!!! I had the 1st bite in the 1st half an hour on a stick bait covered in kick n bass cent garlic... Phil got one on a creature I got another on same bait and KNB it slowed down for us than we got another bite we moved out to other areas deep, weeds, crank spinnerbaits topwater jigs you name it we threw it!!! Was great to fish I'm happy about our decisions 2nd place is not bad!!

8/3/13 Carsaljo BNBA Open Buddy

We had our open Buddy on Lake Carsaljo it was a great turn out thank you to 5 alive Dave B and Tim for all coming out you made this one very competitive!! Our day was cloudy all day and rain on and off water temps had dropped..to the 70s.. My son and I had a plan and we stuck with it but it didn't produce the fish we needed.. It started slow with only Pickerel AND Big pickerel biting... Finnally we scored with a keeper around 9am, we hit the channel and stayed around it where scattered lilypads were at, we couldn't get to our main spot it was occupied by another boat who happened to win it back there!! I got em on a Senko Kick N Bass Scent and my go to topwater bait. I was proud that our club guys Steve and Phil won 2nd place and Jay took 6th and had a nice 4lber! These guys were no average fisherman if you know 5alive you know some of the best NJ anglers are in that club!! It was ON!!!

7/20/13 Well we had our tournament last sat on Lake Shanadoah... Its a weedy lake deep and shallow, suites my style of bassin perfect. It was cool in the am but it got hot as the clouds broke.. later in the am..Water was in the 80's and a bit stained.. The Bite was tough... Let me just say that fishnig is as much as a mind set as I have read on fishing webs. KVD said it best, "Its about the attitude". I was not in it that day, my head was way out of the fishing game.. Just to start off.. And to make matters worse my partner and I ran into a major problem before we even got to the lake!! We were scrambling to fix the issue.. We did fix it and we did make it to the start on time barely..
The fishing was tough, we hit cool running water and had it all to ourselves.. We found them!! But we m...issed 4 bass that would have won it for us.. Phil missed a good 4lber at the boat, and I missed 3 bass in the 2 to 2 1/2lb class that would of made our total close to 10lbs... How, why did they come off?? I have no idea.. We did manage three keepers close to 6lbs to take second, Phil put two of the 3 in the boat. I had a good solid chunk.. they were biting a creature off of points. I had covered my bait with Kick N Bass Scent. and they were crushing it.. I had rattles in my bullet weight too... I had one spot where I missed two bass there... Oh well I hate to miss fish in a tournament, but I need to put it behind me for now.. We are closer to AOY we sit in 2nd place now.. Three more Club tournaments left, still time to catch up!! 6/29/13 Farrington BNBA Tournament

We had our open buddy today at farrington it was cloudy in the am and the sun broke out and it got hot in the 80s.. I started with topwater, soft jerkbait, crankbait as we hit a patch of pads close to the ramp, we then went and hit a nice point near deep water and I was getting hits on topwater, but couoldnt hook up.. I had one on and it came off to at the side off the point.. We hit a nice pocket with pads and agin I missed 3 bass that could of help us to 3rd or even 2nd place... I made a mistake I finally checked my same topwater bait and the hook was bent, I did catch my decent keepr on it, Thank GOD!! I got 2 other small keepers on a drop shot and soft jerkbait and Phil got one keepr on a frog! We only had one good bass in the livewell all the way up till noon then we got 3 more before it was time for weigh in!! We had 4 bass at 5lbs even! Get The BIte

5/25/13 manasqaun results tough day.. windy!!

It was a super tough day.. Steve and I kept getting light bites but they wouldn't commit early in the am... Steve had a great spot a flat with timber in a pocket that was in 6feet and went deep into 14feet.. we stayed and weaved in and out of the wood shallow to deep.. The bass turned on around 930am and from 10 till noon we wacked em.. The spot replenished itself, and the bigger fish came in and Steve caught two 2lbers in the same spot... I got bit on a senko and Kick N Bass and my second bass hit a dropshot bait loaded with Kick N bass... I had a few follow ups on a crankbait but that was it.. Windy windy waves were unreal on the rez...water started in the high 50's and ended at 62 and super clear.. Dz

5/14/13 Brick Pond

Hit a old spot in Brick this am and caught a nice chunk on a wacky tool senko/yum bait and Kick N Bass scent in Garlic, the bass just been eating this rig lately!!

HIt Carsaljo in a insane rain storm but got the bite on a soft jerkbait and Kick N Bass!! God Is good!

Caught this one on a Crankbait 1.0 KVD ... Shad color.. This was a very special day! I went out with my son Dave and He caught his first bass all by himslef on a 1.0 Chartreuse KVD Crankbait on shore!! I manage this bass and another keeper on a senko and KNB  Wacky Bill Style!!

4/13 and 5/4/13

I been geting the bite with the Bill ms wackytool and Kick N Bass scent!!! The first pic ( Me without my hat) is at pine lake.. I was in a cove and saw a nice "disturbance"on top of the water! I tossed my stick Bait covered with KNB and had it rigged on the Bill M wacky tool!! Pic below this one was from me and BNBA Member Brian hit his secret spot! We bolth caught 3 bass in under an hour and a bunch of pickerel.. Same method, Bill Ms wacky tool and KNB!!
