NOT GOOD!!!
Well to say I am not happy with my 6th place finish at the Bite N Bassmaster Challenge is an under statement. This was a personal tournament for me, I use to fish this lake all the time growing up and up until I moved down south jersey. My favorite lake, I have caught numerous 3lbers, 4lbers through out the years! The day started of fast, we hit the riprap nothing, hit the cove nothing till we hit the rocks . 40 minutes into the tourny and I had a good 2lber on topwater, jay got another one smaller but a keeper on the next cast to the same spot. Excited was I to see we need only one more bass to limit out and then go for the culling!! But it was not to happen as through out the day I would get seven bites and MISS seven BITES!!! Talk about frustration!!??? Jay wasn't even getting bit really, and the word was it slowed down but I don't care what they say, I have to GET THE BITE!! No excuses!! In the end I was proud of myself for keeping an open mind and fishng my srtengths as well as fishing a few techniques I normally don't use.
Next is Deal Lake a lake I never been to before or had the chance to pre fish this one should be fun!!
GET THE BITE!!!

Saturday, May 28, 2011
April and May 2011
I been out a few times to the local ponds and been catching a few decent keepers on plastic with Kick N Bass Scent on them. I'm looking forward to the Next Bite N Bassmaster Challenge. This one is at my home lake up north at Cranberry Lake. I use to fish this lake all the time fun fishing but I have bombed in Tournaments on it. But I plan on winning this one. I am at the mercy of my partner who controls the boat! I have a decent plan it's just a matter of If my Buddy will give it a whirl. So GET THE BITE !!

The Tournament at Stone Tavern
Well it was a good GTG!! I have to say I am not a big fan of Stone tavern. It looks like a big soup bowl, but in reality i don't have to like it, I just have to learn to fish it. I talked to a buddy of mine (amesl) and he gave me some good points on it, its a structure lake. Looking at last years winners (adam and jackson), and talking to Amesl we had a good spot. It was pre spawn and the bass were moving up to the flat... It did produce the first 2 hours into the GTG/ Tournament. Jay wacked 2 keepers in the first hour on a lipless bait. I anchored our limit with a solid fish the 2nd hour on a spinnerbait but that was it for me the rest of the day. And if you know me, you know I want to beat everyone!!! Even my partner!! It didn't happen!! Jay was the man catching 3 more bass including another keeper at the same spot and one on a drop shot of the bank. It was warmer than last saturday and the water temp started at 44 and moved up to 49 degrees. We came in 2nd just 3 oz off the Win! We had 6.lbs1oz and Leon and Adam had 6.4lbs.. It was a close one!! I was happy that I used everything I had and never quite!
